On-Site Education
Has a colleague, student, or staff member experienced the loss of a pregnancy, child, or loved one? Are you unsure how to support them while maintaining professionalism? What should you say, when, and how? Should you give a gift or avoid bringing it up?
These are common questions, and navigating them can be challenging without proper guidance. While death has long been a taboo subject, the conversation is shifting to be more open and supportive.
We offer on-site training to help staff confidently navigate these difficult situations, providing tools and skills to support those affected by loss and create a compassionate, healing environment.

Lunch & Learns
Who do you refer your patients or staff to for specialized counseling? SilverLeaf is a dedicated practice specializing in perinatal mood disorders and perinatal loss. We are passionate about supporting perinatal loss professionals and educating medical teams worldwide.
If you're in the Washington-Baltimore metro area and believe your organization could benefit from learning more about the importance of these services, we offer "Lunch & Learn" sessions. These presentations address the stigma around grief, share vital research, and provide local resources for both staff and patients.
Let us help equip your team with the tools they need to support families during their most challenging times.

Abigail's Library
Abigail’s Library began in 2012, created by Michelle and Michael Tangrea, in memory of their daughter’s brief but purposeful life.
The mission of the library is to provide resources for healing, grieving, education and discovery through the donation of books and journals. These resources provide support for those suffering from perinatal loss and education to the people who love and care for them.
